James Edward Hall, Sr.

James Edward Hall Sr., 77, Vinton passed away at his residence Tuesday, June 29, 2004. Born September 29, 1926 in Floyd County, Kentucky son of the late John and Minnie Spears Hall, he was a WW II Army Veteran and had retired from the U.S. Steel Corporation, Lorain, in 1982. He married Carol Ruth Bischoff June 22, 1956 in McArthur, Ohio.
James is survived by his wife and eight children: Kathryn Hall, Lorain; Dalla (Tom) Starcher, Vermillion; Gail (Samuel) Meade, Bidwell; Barbara (Steve) Moore, Columbus; Ruth (Tom) Darst, Vinton; James E. Hall Jr., Rodney; Ray Hall, Vinton and Debra Stump, Cheshire; twenty-one grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two siblings: John Hall, Vinton and Nola (Bill) Skeens, Lorain.
He was preceded in death by four brothers: Truman, Randall, Thelmer and Lonnie Hall.
Services will be 11:00 AM Friday in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton with the Rev. Willie Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Vinton. Friends may call the funeral home 5:00-8:00 PM Thursday.
