James C. "Jim" Cunningham, 50, Marshall, Michigan passed away at his residence Friday, April 28, 2007 following an extended illness. He was born February 18, 1957 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of Jeannine Evans Cunningham, Gallipolis and the late John A. Cunningham.
Jim graduated from Gallia Academy High School, Gallipolis, class of 1975, and moved to Marshall, Michigan in 1979. He was employed by the Eaton Corporation Proving Ground at Marshall as a laboratory technician for twenty-seven years and was instrumental in the development of the Eaton Super Charger for the auto industry. He also received several patent awards for his work on new products and product improvements.
In addition to his mother, Jeannine, he is survived by two brothers: John S. (Terri) Cunningham, Gallipolis, Ohio and Mark A. Cunningham, Lexington, North Carolina; nephew and nieces: Alex Cunningham, Kelsey Cunningham, Hannah Cunningham and Sarah Stepp; special aunts: Mary Pullins and Andrea Evans, Gallipolis; and special friend, Diane Higley, Marshall, Michigan; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends Thursday 6:00-8:00 PM at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, 420 First Ave, Gallipolis. According to Jims wishes, the body was cremated.
