James Edgar Koontz

James Edgar Koontz, 76, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Monday, October 28, 2024, in the Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio. James was born January 8, 1948, in Bidwell, Ohio, son of the late Luther and Elsie Koontz.

James is survived by his wife, Deretha Koontz; sons, Jimmy Lee Koontz and Christopher Adam Koontz and sister-in-law, Rebecca Ann Hughes.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by three sisters.

Cremation services are under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel. Final disposition will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bidwell, Ohio at the convenience of the family.
