James Yonts

James Yonts, 73, Vinton, Ohio passed away Thursday, September 1, 2005 at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. Born October 24, 1931 in Neon, Kentucky, he was the son of the late McKinley and Ruth Kidd Yonts. A U.S. Army Veteran, James is survived by his wife, Patricia (Peace) Yonts.
He is also survived by eight daughters: Nina Yonts, Amy Lynn Baker, Mona Russo, all of Cleveland, Ohio; Jennifer Bays, Vinton; Melinda Mullins, Bidwell, Ohio; Melissa Boggs, Rio Grande, Ohio; Karen Durham, Hamden, Ohio; Dianna Free, North Carolina; two sisters: Vivia German, Florida and Mona Bentley, Michigan; three brothers: Clark, Donald, and David Yonts, Neon, Kentucky; seventeen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by daughter Dinah Price in 1992.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Sunday, September 4, 2005 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, 208 Main St, Vinton with James Harless officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Burial will follow on Jones Road in Vinton, Ohio. A flag presentation will be conducted by American Legion Post #161, Vinton.
