Janet A. Kemper, 72, Glenwood, West Virginia (formerly of Bidwell, Ohio) passed away Saturday August 31, 2013 in Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia. She was born April 29, 1941 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Paul Leslie and Loretta Faye Wilson Dixon. Janet retired from Holzer Medical Center following more than twenty years of service and was a former member of Vinton Full Gospel Church.

She is survived by her husband Marion F. Kemper, Jr. whom she married November 17, 1962 in Columbus, Ohio; daughters, Kelli (Thomas) Templeton, Glenwood, West Virginia and Karli (Joseph) Cheesebrew, Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia; step-son, Keith (Joan) Rose, Englewood, Ohio; grandchildren: Kristopher Kemper, Allison Templeton-Allen, Mallory Templeton, Kindra Cheesebrew, J. Wyatt Cheesebrew and step-grandchildren, Dustin Rose and Tony Rose. Also surviving are sisters, Pam Delosier and fiance, Norm Spafford and Becky Shade and brother, Steve Leslie, all of Columbus, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Kemper and sister, Lois Mayer.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis with Pastor Mark Mayes, officiating. Burial will follow in Ball's Chapel Church Cemetery, Ashton, West Virginia. Friends and family may call Wednesday at the funeral home at 1:00 PM until the time of service.
