Janet Sue (Swick) Johnson

Janet Sue Johnson, 79, Bidwell, Ohio passed away following a short illness Monday, January 8, 2023 in Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia. Born November 23, 1944 in Bidwell, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Henry Kenneth and Edna (Brandum) Swick. Janet married James W. Johnson who preceded her in death December 21, 1997.

Janet is survived by two sons: Brent (Heidi) Johnson and James R. Johnson, Jr., both of Bidwell, Ohio; grandchildren: Jamie Lynn Brown, Gabrielle Johnson and Piper Johnson; five great-grandchildren and brothers and sisters: Paul Swick, Mary (Jack) Powell, Don Swick and Frances (Rob) Marcum.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by sister, Jeann Bickel and brother, Curtis Swick, Sr.

Reflection of Life services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Thursday, January 11, 2024 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday 11:00 AM to the Noon hour at which time the Reflection of Life service will begin.
