Jerry Lee Johnson, 68, of Galion, Ohio passed away Saturday April 2, 2022. He was born December 7, 1953 in Ewington, Ohio, son of the late Cecil and Helen (Chapman) Johnson. He was a 1971 graduate of North Gallia High School and retired from the TASCO Company following thirty-seven years of service.

Jerry is survived by a daughter, Jeri (Chris) Montgomery, Ontario, Ohio and his "other kids", Scott and Jennifer Payne, Galion, Ohio; two sisters, Florine Madden, Isom, Kentucky and Avonell (Kenneth) Dunn, Vinton, Ohio; one brother, Silas (Joanne) Johnson, Bidwell, Ohio and several nieces, nephews and special friends. Jerry loved his family, fishing and playing golf.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by brothers Chandious and Willis Johnson, sisters, Bernice Anderson and Mary Jane McGuire and the mother of his daughter, Peggy Stapleton.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday April 8, 2022 in the Ewington Church of Christ in Christian Union with Pastor David Greer officiating. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel is honored to serve the Johnson family.
