Jerry Carl Matthew, Sr.

Jerry Carl Matthew, Sr, 71, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2026, following a lengthy illness in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. Jerry was an avid Harley Davidson rider, enjoyed playing Call of Duty and listened to all rock and roll music.

Born April 1, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late Cecil Leroy and Eleanor Ruth (Kemper) Matthew. A United States Army Veteran, he married Thi Kim Anh Pham Matthew, and she survives.

Also left behind are children: Jerry Matthew, Jr., Crown City, Ohio; Zachary Kemp Matthew, Jason Darst and Pham Ky Quang Tran Matthew, all of Gallipolis; Stephanie Diana Matthew, Point Pleasant, West Virginia and Pham Bao Ngoc Tran Matthew, Gallipolis as well as a host of family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brother, Cecil Leroy Matthew, Jr.

In accordance with his wishes, no funeral services will be held. Cremation services are under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, who are honored to serve the Matthew Family.
