Jerry Smith

Jerry Smith, 77, Bidwell, Ohio passed away at his home Wednesday, April 15, 2026. He was born February 12, 1949, to the late James and Vada McCallister Smith at Danville, Ohio. He was a veteran of The United States Army, worked for D & W Homes and was retired from French City Homes. He married Golda Halfhill Smith and she survives.

Those left to cherish his memory including his wife, Golda are their children, Jerry Dean (Jackie) Smith, Centenary, Ohio and Jason Lee Smith, Bidwell, Ohio; grandchildren: Levi Allen (Tiffany Ashcraft) Smith and Logan Dean Smith; sisters, Wanda Nelson, Dot (Carl) Smith, Betty Lambert, Stella (Bob) Blankenship, Flossie (Mike) Jude and Geraldine (Skip) Moore.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by three brothers, Tom, Darrel and James Smith Jr. and sister, Bonnie Cleland.

Graveside service will be held 12:30 PM, Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Morgan Center Cemetery, Bidwell, Ohio with Pastor Rodney Walker officiating. Full Military Graveside Rights will be conducted by Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail. Friends may call on the family at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
