John Richard Delille

John Richard DeLille, age 82, died Monday December 20, 2010 at Holzer Medical Center following a long illness. Born February 1, 1928, at Rodney, Ohio, he was the son of the late Joseph Elias DeLille and Tracie Marilyn Spencer DeLille. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters: Geneva Brooks, Ruth Boice, and Betty McClaskey, and three brothers: Charles, Martin and Bruce DeLille.

He is survived by four sons: Joe DeLille and wife Sue of Langsville, Ohio; Rick DeLille and wife Ann of Bellevue, Pennsylvania; Ron DeLille and Chuck DeLille, both of Pickerington, Ohio; one sister, Louise (Rex) Greenlee and one brother, Raymond (Rosalie) DeLille, both of Rodney, Ohio; and special friend, Jane Fields of Titusville, Florida. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. DeLille was a veteran of the Korean Conflict with the 25th Infantry Division. He was retired from Denison-Abex Corporation, Columbus, Ohio, and a longtime member of the Knights of Pythias and VFW lodges.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Gallipolis, Ohio. Full Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail.
