John Elliott Hale
April 5, 1950 — June 13, 2017
John Elliott Hale, 67, Jackson, Ohio passed away at his residence Tuesday, June 13, 2017. He was born April 5, 1950 at Williamson, West Virginia, son of the late John B. and Claudia Williamson Hale.
John is survived by his wife, Clara Jane Saunders Hale and two sons: David Hammond, Jr., Jackson, Ohio and Timothy Hammond, Cincinnati, Ohio; three grandchildren: Chelsea, Stephanie and Faith and three great-grandsons: Eli, Colton and Archie; brother, Claude (Martha) Hale, Wilkesville, Ohio; sisters, Karen Hale Elliott, Wilkesville,Ohio and Katrena (Bart Baker) Hale, North Reddington Beach, Florida.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a brother, William Hale.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 16, 2017 at Maggie's Home Old Regular Baptist Church, Dundas, Ohio with Brother Don Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call Thursday, 5:00-7:00 PM, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation consideration to St. Joseph's Indian School, 1301 N. Main Street, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
