John Lee Sexton
January 28, 1932 — February 10, 2017
John Lee Sexton, 85, Bidwell, Ohio passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at Abbyshire Nursing Facility. He was born in Gallia County, Ohio January 28, 1932 to the late Ross Amzy and Elsie Lolabelle (Kemper) Sexton. He was a retired farmer working for thirty-three years at the Vaughn Glassburn Farm near Bidwell.
John is survived by two sisters, Elsie Elizabeth "Lib" Mitchell and Peggy Lou Sexton, both of Bidwell, Ohio and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: William Orville Sexton, James Edward Sexton and Ross Sexton, Jr.; three sisters: Dorothy Drummond, Betty Boyer and Anna Martha Fillinger; special nephew, Brad Fillinger and a sister-in-law, Amy Sexton.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, February 13, 2017 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Rev. Heath Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday 12:00-1:00 PM.
