Jon Folden

December 5, 1978 — December 29, 2024

Point Pleasant

It is with profound sadness the family of Jon Folden announces his passing, a beloved member of the family and community, who left us far too soon.

Jon was born December 5, 1978, son of Donna Brown and Larry (Clara) Folden. A 1997 graduate of Gallia Academy High School (GAHS), Jon built a successful career as a sales manager at Braden Dodge Jeep Chrysler of Gallipolis, where his charisma, dedication, and kindness left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.

He was the epitome of love and loyalty – a devoted son, brother, father, uncle and friend who brought light and laughter to everyone he met. He was a proud dog dad to Lady Mae, his faithful companion. He had a zest for life and found joy in the simple pleasures: cheering for the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes, enjoying live music, attending family gatherings, and supporting his nieces and nephews at their events.

Whether he was shooting guns with friends, bantering about Ohio sports with buddies or simply being present for those in need, Jon was known as "the show up guy", someone you could always count on. He was quick-witted, he could make a quick comment regarding anything, often garnering a laugh…and he knew exactly what buttons to push with his siblings. No matter what he did, it was always with purpose and out of love.

Jon is survived by his parents, Donna and Larry (Clara); son, Kaleb Gheen; siblings: Heather (Anthony) Sola, Ben (Amber) Folden, Leslie (Kevin) Lamphier, Lindsey (Derek) Smith, Terry (Heather) Huffman, Tony (Tiffany) Huffman and Amy (Bill) Holcomb. Also surviving are nieces: Carolina, Sophia and Sadie Sola, Hadley Lamphier, Lexi Lou Folden, Preslie and EmmyLou Smith, Cheyenne (Tavius) Huffman, Shaelyn and Alissa Huffman, Shaia (Dakota) Pearce, Trista (David) Shuster and Zoe Holcomb; nephews: Bryceton, Kendon and Bentlee Folden, Tripp Sola, Weston Smith, Rhett Lamphier, Eli and Caeden Huffman, Lane and Luke Shaffer, William Holcomb and several great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Lora Mae Walter Voreh, maternal grandmother, Faye Young, paternal grandfather, Murrel Folden and maternal grandfather, John Brown.

While our hearts are heavy with his loss, we will forever cherish the memories of his infectious smile, his unwavering support and the way he made everyone feel like they mattered.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty and laughter that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
