Junior A. Dotson, 74, Bidwell passed away Monday, April 4, 2005 at his residence. He was born December 18, 1930 in Bidwell, son of the late Dixie Andrew and Geraldine Mayo Dotson. An Army veteran, Junior retired as an attendant from the Gallipolis Developmental Center, Gallipolis.
He is survived by his son, Warren Dotson, Bidwell; stepdaughters: Carol Mayes, Columbus, Ohio and Theresa Mayes, Chicago, Illinois; stepson: Gene Mayes, Vinton, Ohio; two grandchildren; two brothers: Stanley Mayo, Flint, Michigan and Tommy Dotson, Bidwell, Ohio; six sisters: Regina Neal, Gallipolis, Ohio; Pauline Parks, Columbus, Ohio; Gloria (Henry) Willis, Gahanna, Ohio; Alice (Pete) Petty, Rodney, Ohio; Cecelia (Sonny) McNeal, Flint, Michigan and Deborah Dotson, Flint, Michigan.
He was preceded by a daughter, Sharon Dotson and two sisters, Evelyn Milton and Mary Howell.
Services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, April 7, 2005 at McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, 208 Main St, Vinton, Ohio with Pastor Calvin Minnis officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery where a Military Flag Presentation will be conducted by the Gallia County Veterans Service Organizations. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 PM.
