Kenneth Blaine Ralph

Kenneth Blaine Ralph, 92, Vinton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday April 13, 2004 at Jenkins Memorial Health Facility, Wellston, Ohio. He was born March 27, 1912 at Cheshire, son of the late J. Blaine and Edith Hix Ralph. He retired from the Gallipolis Developmental Center and was a member of the Old Kyger Free Will Baptist Church, Cheshire.

He is survived by his second wife, Leona Roush Whitt Ralph, whom me married December 8, 1984 at Gallipolis, Ohio. Also surviving are sone, Kenneth (Sharon) Ralph, Jr., Pickerinton, Ohio; daughters, Betty (Ray) Rupe, Winter Park, Florida; Joyce (Clifford) Bryant, Hewitt, Texas and Vivian (Lawrence) Curfman, Ray, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Marjorie Ralph, New Cumberland, West Virginia; step-sons, Harold Whitt, Gallipolis and John Whitt, Enosburg, Vermont; step-daughter, Kay Hockman, Cheshire; six grandsons, six granddaughters, fourteen great-grandsons, ten great-granddaughters, two great-great-grandsons, two great-great-granddaughters and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Ralph, Cheshire; sister-in-laws, Estell Ralph, Pataskala, Lylean Ralph, Toledo and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 51 years, Bessie Marie Fife Ralph; son, Marvin L. Ralph and step-son, Charles Whitt; four brothers, James, Forest, Lawrence and Wesley Ralph; two sisters, Gladys Ralph and Lucille Rupe, an infant sibling, one great-granddaughter and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday April 16, 2004 in the Old Kyger Freewill Baptist Church, Cheshire, with Rev. Bob Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cheshire. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis Thursday 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM.
