Larry Dale Terry

Larry Dale Terry, 75, of Vinton, Ohio, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. Larry was born August 1, 1950, son of the late Cecil and Grace (Spears) Terry, at Oak Hill, Ohio. He retired from Federal Mogul/GKN and enjoyed playing music on his guitar. Most of all, he loved his family and his grandchildren were the light of his life.

Larry married Shirley Osborne Terry September 26, 1970 at Thurman, Ohio, and she survives with their children: Amy (Patrick) Kelly, Gallipolis, Ohio and Leland Terry and Michael Terry, both of Vinton; grandchildren: Rebecca Wright, Daniel Walker, Zachary Terry, Dakota Terry, Emily Bias, Cody Terry, Tyler Angus, Whitney Vilfer, Hunter Terry, Ryan Terry, Ember Wicker, Savannah Wicker and Alliandra Wicker.

Also surviving are thirteen great-grandchildren and brothers and sisters: Mary Cox, Jimmy (Sue) Terry, Pamela Lane, Gracie (Mike) Broyles, Billy (Lisa) Terry and Diana (Dave) Somerville as well as a host of other extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by daughter, Angela Wicker, sisters Rosalie Shoemaker, Ruby Viola Johnson, Annabell Seagraves and infant Linda Lou Terry as well as brothers, Samuel Terry and Cecil Terry.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Monday, July 6, 2026, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Pastor Terry Hale officiating. Burial will follow in Brush Cemetery, Vinton, Ohio. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday, 11:00 AM to the 12:00 PM service time.
