Laura Mae Daniels, 77, Cheshire, Ohio passed away in St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia Sunday April 25, 2004 following a brief illness. She was born May 22, 1926 in Russell, Kentucky. She was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church, Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters: Ronald (Wanda) Daniels, Bumpass, Virginia; Paul Bernard (Bobbi) Daniels, Bidwell, Ohio; Robin Daniels, Patriot, Ohio; Barbara (Jim) Mathews, Virginia Beach, Virginia; Teresa Daniels, Cheshire, Ohio; six grandchildren: Ronnie (Melissa) Daniels, Bumpass, Virginia; Tammi (John) Drummond, Thurman, Ohio; Kyle Mathews, Virginia Beach, Virginia; Paul David Daniels, Cheshire, Ohio; Natasha Daniels, Bidwell, Ohio and Derek Daniels, Cheshire, Ohio; three great-grandchildren: Hunter, Jake and Courtney; three brothers and three sisters: William Ashworth, Hamlin, West Virginia; Roy Ashworth, Hamlin, West Virginia; Burl Baker, Myra, West Virginia; Pearl Ashworth, Hamlin, West Virginia; Ann Medcaff, Huntington, West Virginia; Bessie Jeffers, Texas and a special family member, Thelma McKinney, Culloden, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Donna Marie and Dixie Lee Daniels; two brothers, Percy Pelfrey and Johnny Ashworth; three sisters, Florence Rossener, Alberta Stratton and Mearl Ashworth.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 28, 2004 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Pastor Merle Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 6:00-8:00 PM.
