Linda Lou (Bartley) Rutan

Linda Lou Bartley Rutan, 78, of Gallipolis passed away peacefully Thursday, May 22, 2025, at her residence.  She was born July 13, 1946, in Ashland, Kentucky, daughter of the late Lewis and Mona (McCoy) Bartley. She attended Vinton Baptist Church and was a fifty-plus year member of the Vinton OES Chapter #375 and a past Worthy Matron.

Linda married Sherman Lee Rutan of Bidwell on November 19, 1966, in Vinton, Ohio and he survives. In addition to her husband those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Gina (Anthony) Blackburn, Andrea (Scott) Canaday, grandchildren, Kyle (Caitlin) Blackburn, Hannah Blackburn, Zachary (Hannah Ehman) Canaday, great-grandson, Michael Blackburn, brother, Troy (Debbie) Bartley, sister, JoAnn (Randy) Hays, special nephew, Mike (Liz) Kirby and a special friend, Sharon (Las) Maldonaldo.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her twin brother, Larry Daniel Bartley and sister, Alma Jean Bartley.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 29, 2025, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Pastor Chester Hess officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.
