Lola (Fry) Napier

October 15, 1925 — March 15, 2017

Lola Napier, 91, Bidwell, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at her daughter's home. She was born in Wayne, West Virginia to the late Gobel and Sula Mae Lycans Fry.  Lola married J. L. "Lark" Napier on March 21, 1941 in Radner, West Virginia and he preceded her death on March 12, 2005.  Lola began her teaching career at Sable Palms School at Palm Beach, Florida. She later moved to Gallia County where she served as principal of Clay Elementary and taught at Gallia Academy High School. She was member of Ohio Education Association, National Education Association, Ohio Eastern Star, Gallipolis Chapter; chairman of the 88 English Program and a member of Faith Baptist Church, Rodney, Ohio.

Lola is survived by a son, Lark Napier II, Brooksville, Florida; daughter, Brittina Mae (Richard) Green, Bidwell, Ohio; four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Corina Joseph, Virginia and brother, Samuel Jesse (Donna) Fry, Wooster, Ohio.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by grandson, Adam Green; sisters, Helen Prunty, Loretta Brumfield and brother, Willard Fry.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday March 20, 2017 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Deacon Dr. Kevin Napier officiating.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Rio Grande.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 Noon 1:00 PM.
