Loma "Kay" (Higley) Bowen

Loma "Kay" Higley Bowen, 71, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Monday, June 27, 2022 in the Holzer Assisted Living Facility, Gallipolis, Ohio. Kay was born October 23, 1950 at Charleston, West Virginia, daughter to the late Basil Kenneth and Elsie (Stalnaker) Higley.

A 1968 graduate of North Gallia High School, she worked as an Ohio State Highway Patrol Dispatcher from where she retired. Kay was a 2012 graduate of the University of Rio Grande and was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church, Bidwell, Ohio.

Kay is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members and several special friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, William Douglas Bowen; sister, Joyce L. Robie; brothers, Forrest Raymond Higley and Kenneth Higley and nephews, Steve Robie and Ronnie Robie.

Private services will be conducted in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Pastor Heath Jenkins officiating at the convenience of the family.
