Lucille Brannon, 92, Mason, West Virginia (formerly Gallipolis, Ohio) passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at Holzer Medical Center. She and her late husband, Howard Brannon, were founders and owners of The Brannon Real Estate Company, Gallipolis until their retirement in 1977. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Gallipolis and a fifty-six year member of the French Colony Chapter of the D.A.R.
Mrs. Brannon was born September 6, 1911 in Gallia County, daughter of the late Maurice and Melissa Gordon Roush. She married Howard Brannon June 28, 1930 in Gallipolis and he preceded her in death April 10, 1994.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna B. Fowler, Mason, West Virginia; grandsons and their families: David and Kathy Fowler and their children, Megan and Steven, Wadsworth, Ohio and Mark and Lisa Fowler and their children, Samuel and Nicholas, Ripley, West Virginia; and sister-in-law, Irene Brannon, Gallipolis, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, 420 First Ave, Gallipolis with Rev. Alvis Pollard officiating. Interment will follow in Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday 6:00-8:00 PM with D.A.R. Service at 7:45 PM by the French Colony Chapter.
