Lusher E. Mayo, 41, Bidwell, Ohio passed away February 18, 2015 in the Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born October 16, 1973 in Gallipolis, son of Vada Mayo, Bidwell and the late Earl F. Mayo, Sr. Lusher was a 1992 Graduate of North Gallia High School; attended University of Cincinnati and the University of Rio Grande; employed by Gallipolis City Schools and Jimanetti's of Rio Grande and was a member of the Fellowship of Faith Church, Rio Grande. He loved reading, music and being a church volunteer.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by brothers and sister: Herman (Venitta) Mayo, Gallipolis; Earl Mayo Jr. and Carman Mitchell, both of Bidwell; aunts: Luella Henry, Bidwell; Juanita Howard, Cincinnati, Ohio and Pauline Smith, Spokane, Washington; uncle: Bill Jackson, Gallipolis and nieces: Whitley Mayo, Reisterstown, Maryland and Danielle Mayo, Gallipolis; nephew, Jamil Stepney, Oxford, Ohio and many extended family members.
Lusher will be remembered for his smile and loving nature as well as the loving way he cared for his mother following the death of his father.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, February 23, 2015 in the Fellowship of Faith Church, 20344 SR 554, Rio Grande, Ohio with Pastor Jamie Sisson officiating. Burial will follow at the convenience of the family. Friends and family may call at the church Monday 11:00 AM until the time of service. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis is honored to serve the Mayo Family.
