Margaret Ann (Dillard) Pickens

Margaret Ann Pickens, 60, of Vinton, Ohio died Monday, June 23, 2025, in Abbyshire Place, Bidwell, Ohio. A graduate of the University of Rio Grande, Rio Grande, Ohio, she was an active member of Pinnacle Church, Vinton, Ohio. Margaret enjoyed being a nurse and caring for others and loved spending time with her family.

She was born December 16, 1964, in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, the daughter of Mary Matilda "Tillie" (Hayden) Dillard, Point Pleasant and the late Arley Dillard, Jr. She married Jack Pickens, Jr., of Bidwell, Ohio, who survives.

Also surviving are daughter, Julia (Chris Adkins) Schultz and son, James Schultz, both of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; granddaughter, with whom she formed a very close bond and her love for Tilly Adkins knew no bounds, also of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; brothers: Larry (Ida) Dillard, Columbus, Ohio; Mike (Carrie) Dillard, Houston, Texas and Mills (Karen) Dillard, Winfield, West Virginia as well as numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to her father, she was preceded by husband, Gary Schultz.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Pinnacle Church, Main Street, Vinton, with Pastor Jamie Gruber officiating. In accordance with Margaret's wishes, Cremation services are under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio.
