Margaret "Margi" (Foster) Layne

Margaret "Margi" Layne, 73, of Bidwell, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024 in her caring daughter's home in Gallipolis. She was born December 26, 1950 in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late Philip and Marie (Skidmore) Foster.

Margi was a dedicated Registered Nurse, formerly employed at Gallipolis Developmental Center, Lakin State Hospital and lastly, with the State of Ohio as a Nursing Care Oversight Coordinator of Nursing Home Facilities throughout the state.

She will be missed by her daughter, Leigh Ann (Jeff) Roach, Gallipolis and grandson, Philip (fiancée Alyssa Parsio) Hollingshead, Westerville, Ohio; granddaughter, Hannah (Justin) Bailey and great-granddaughter, Adley Bailey, all of Bidwell; brother, Tom (Carol) Foster, Coos Bay, Oregon; Andrea Canaday, Rio Grande, Ohio whom she loved as a daughter and fur babies, Bentley and Cooper as well as several other family members and friends.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 6:00 PM in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio. A Gathering of Friends will be held from 5:00-6:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
