Margaret J. (Smith) Meeks

Margaret J. Meeks, 85, Gallipolis, Ohio (formerly of Lusby, Maryland) passed away January 5, 2004 at Wyngate of Gallipolis. She was born October 29, 1918 in Ripley, West Virginia daughter of the late Dr. Vaught and Oma Casto Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Emory J. Meeks.
Mrs. Meeks is survived by sister-in-law, Deanie Smith (Tim) Evans, Gallipolis; niece, Cindy Smith (Brett) Epling, Bidwell, Ohio; nephews: Dr. Gary (Sandy) Smith, Midland, Michigan; Greg (Karen) Smith, Bidwell; ten great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by brother Vaught "Doc" Smith in 2001.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday January 13, 2004 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis with Reverend John Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairplains Cemetery, Ripley, West Virginia. Friends may call on Tuesday 9:00 AM-10:00 AM.
