Marlin D. Meeks, 67, Bidwell, Ohio (Harrisburg Community) passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at his residence. Born September 20, 1945 at Harrisburg, Ohio, he was the son of the late Wesley Carl and Ruby Garnet (Hoover) Meeks. He worked for M & G Towing, and was an U.S. Army Veteran serving in Korea and Vietnam and a member of American Legion Lafayette Post 27, Gallipolis.

Marlin is survived by his sons, Wesley (Belinda) Meeks, Suffolk, Virginia and John (Michelle) Meeks, Gallipolis, Ohio; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters Jessie (Bob) Clagg, Gallipolis and Rebecca Richter, Huber Heights, Ohio; brothers, John Meeks, Brookville, Ohio; Dan Meeks, Greenville, Ohio and Buster Meeks, Bidwell, Ohio; mother of his children, Irene Meeks, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Private services will be conducted at the convenience of the family by the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis who is honored to serve the Meeks family.
