Marrel Dixon Sr., 75, Vinton, Ohio passed away at his residence Friday, October 23, 2009. He was born April 4, 1934 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, son of the late Marrel Gloan Dixon and Ida Caroline Swanson Dixon. He was a retired employee of Home Moving and Storage, Atlas Van Lines, Columbus, Ohio and a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Surviving are two children: Jamie Dixon, Bidwell and Marrel "Dickie" Dixon Jr., Vinton; three grandchildren: Mason Dixon and Karen Dixon, both of Pomeroy and Joshua (Micah) Dixon, Vinton; three step-children: Larry (Linda) Angles, Vinton; Danny Angles and Rhonda (Donnie) Fouts, both of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers: Robert and Don; one sister, Eugenia McMahon and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 27, 2009 in the Harvestime Worship Center, Vinton with Pastor David Marcum officiating. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Vinton American Legion Post 161. Burial will follow in the Pendleton-Marcum Cemetery, Vinton. Friends may call at the Harvestime Worship Center Monday 2:00-8:00 PM.
