Marvin Robie

Marvin Robie, 80, of Bidwell, Ohio passed away at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio Friday, August 19, 2022. He was born January 10, 1942 at Bidwell, Ohio, son of the late Everett Robie and Erma Casto Robie.

Marvin married Marguerite Griffith February 29, 1968 at Vinton, Ohio and together they owned and operated C and M Auto Parts as well as Robie's Mini Storage on State Route 160, Bidwell, Ohio for over 40 years.  Marvin was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Marvin was a loving and devoted Husband , Daddy and Paw Paw-to know him was to love him. In addition to his wife, Marguerite, he is survived by two daughters, Missy Robie and Susie (John) McClintock, both of Bidwell, Ohio; six grandchildren: Melinda (Dane) Herman and Crystal Genovese, both of Bowling Green, Kentucky; Andrew (Tristen) Chapman, White House, Tennessee; Bradley (Rose) Cummings, Bidwell, Ohio; Vanessa (Fiancé Shawn Mohr) Geiger, Menifee, California and Mitchell McClintock, Point Pleasant, West Virginia; great-grandchildren: Hunter and Carter Herman, Matthew and Allie Kondus, Gino and Rocco Genovese, Sage Chapman, Kinley, Beckam and Bennett Geiger, Shawn, Emilee and Weston Mohr and Ayva McClintock.

In addition, three brothers and two sisters survive: Carroll Robie, Bidwell, Ohio; Keith (Cheryl) Robie, Gallipolis, Ohio; Johnny (Toni) Robie, Phoenix, Arizona; Jean (Bill) Barr, Bidwell, Ohio and Betty Briggs, San Diego, California as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Marvin was preceded in death by brother, Raymond Robie, sister, Violet Dayand, parents-in-law, Rosa and Edgar Griffith and Minerva and Paul Goodson.

Funeral services will be conducted 6:00 PM Monday August 22, 2022 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis with Billy Barr officiating.  Military Rites will be conducted by Vinton American Legion Post #161. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday 4:00-6:00 PM.  In accordance with Marvin's wishes cremation services will follow.
