Marvin V. Williams, 79, Columbus, Ohio, passed away at home following a brief illness Wednesday, August 28, 2013. He was born May 8, 1934 in Vinton, Ohio, son of the late Artie Williams and Carrie Phillips Williams.
Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Gaithe Mae Good Williams, November 18, 1999 and one sister.
He is survived by four sons and a daughter: Raymond Williams, Ronald Williams and Donald Williams, all of Columbus, Ohio and Michael Williams, Vinton, Ohio; Brenda (Ed) Cantrell, Hilliard, Ohio; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Pastor Chris Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday 5:00-7:00 PM.
