Mary I. Casto flew to her heavenly home December 12, 2002. Greeting her as she arrived on the golden shore were many loved ones and friends  including her husband Ray R. Casto; her parents ,Bert and Blanche (Moore) Russell; her sisters, Anna Gilfillen and Nellie Russell; her brother, Carl Russell,;her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Perry and Laura (Keefer) Casto and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Walter and Anna Plantz.

Staying here for a little while longer is her daughter, Mary Faye Plants; a granddaughter ,Mindy Rae Plants (Steve) Derenberger; a grandson, William Edwards Plants and great-grandchildren: Erich Edwards, Anthony Edwards and Sarah Beth Edwards, all of Gallipolis; a brother-in-law ,Ervin "Shorty" (Inona) Casto, Inverness Florida; nieces: Barbara Stolling, Newark, Ohio; Jackie (William) Waltz, Toorstown, Ohio; Helene (Bill) Heaton, Livonia, Michigan; Mary Maureen (Charles) Seabolt, Belle, West Virginia; Margaret Lynn (B.L.) James, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Darlene (Gene) Newcombe, Prescott, Arizona; nephews: John Edgar (Wilma) Gilfillen, Columbus, Ohio; Vernon (Joan) Russell, Newark, Ohio; Ronald (Geneie) Plantz, Gallipolis and Larry (Jerri) Plantz, Chesapeake, Ohio; cousins, many friends and two special friends, Tomme and Spooky.

She was retired from G. C. Murphy Company and a member of First Families of Gallia County as well as a charter member of Faith Baptist Church, Rodney, Ohio.

The family will receive friends at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel December 15, 2002 between the hours of 5:00-8:00 PM with a family prayer service to follow. You are invited to join us as we celebrate her new life which will be conducted at Faith Baptist Church December 16, 2002 at 1:00 PM. The casket will be closed at the church. Committal of earthly remains with Irish Blessings will follow at Pine Street Cemetery, Gallipolis.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Gideon's International.

Mary was a special lady. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. "Only one life will soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last."
