Mary (Moore) Flowers
February 16, 1913 — August 4, 2007
Mary Denney Flowers, 94, Bidwell, Ohio passed away at Holzer Senior Care Saturday, August 4, 2007. She had been employed in the Gallia County Children's Home. Her memberships included: Springfield Baptist Church, French City Campers, Family Campers and RV Association, and the Gallia County Senior Citizens. Mary was born February 16, 1913 in Union County, Ohio, daughter of the late Asa Moore and May McNier Moore.
Twice married, she is survived by her husband, Elmore Flowers, Gallipolis; five children: Paul and Connie Denney, Donald and Lois Denney, Ruth Ann and Donald Shupe, and Mildred and Bill George, all of Bidwell, Ohio; and Harold and Betty Denney, Langsville, Ohio; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; one sister, Blanche Carr, Middleburg, Florida; and cousin, Clara Mobley, Savannah, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Denney; a son, Wyman Denney and two infant children.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 8, 2007 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Rev. John Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the Denney Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 6:00-9:00 PM.
