Mary C. (Harrington) Dobbins

Mary C. Dobbins, 96, Bidwell, Ohio, passed away surrounded by her family Wednesday, August 4, 2010, in Holzer Senior Care Center. She was born October 7, 1913 in Gallipolis, daughter of the late Ezra and Elizabeth Houck Harrington. Mary married Joseph F. Dobbins on February 8, 1930 and he preceded her in death on October 10, 1996.
She is survived by three sons: David (Nancy) Dobbins and Joe (Frances) Dobbins, both of Bidwell, Ohio and Darrell (Sylvia) Dobbins, Christmas, Florida; two daughters, Joanne (Don) Hager and Wilma Jean (Wayne) Thomas, both of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Hattie Belle Gothard, Gallipolis, Ohio and brother, Harold Harrington, Crown City, Ohio; twenty-three grandchildren, and several great and great-great-grandchildren; and special family friend, Gary Daft, Gallipolis, Ohio.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Belle Wheeler and Nanita Carpenter; two sisters, Grace Payne and Margarite Johnson; and three brothers, Herbert, Elmer and Charles Harrington.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 7, 2010, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Rev. Ted Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park Cemetery, Vinton, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
