Mary Louise Oxyer, 83, Cheshire, died Tuesday December 25, 2007 at Holzer Medical Center. Born August 25, 1924, she was the wife of the late Willard Oxyer who preceded her in death in 1994. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Jo Hager and Patricia Oxyer. Mary retired from Holzer Medical Center as a switchboard operator and she also attended Addison Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughter, Ann (Dennis) Jenkins, Middleway, West Virginia and son, Robert (Ruby) McKinney, Hayward, California; stepdaughter, Wanda Russell, Tennessee; stepson, Wayne (Shirley) Oxyer, Bidwell; sister-in-law, Carole (Clyde) Fitch, Cheshire; grandson, Dennis (Dee) Jenkins, Jefferson County, West Virginia; great-grandchildren: Jeffrey, Kelsey, Taylor, and Hunter; special caregivers, Kenny, Margie, Coilla, and Kendra Wheaton, Cheshire; several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday December 28, 2007 at McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, 420 First Ave, Gallipolis. Burial will follow in the Poplar Ridge Cemetery near Cheshire, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday 11:00 AM until time of service.
