Mary F. (Rhodes) Taylor

Mary F. Taylor, 89, Gallipolis, Ohio died Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, after a lengthy illness. She was born October 31, 1928 in Bidwell, Ohio, daughter of the late Albert and Gladys (Casto) Rhodes. Mary was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Gallipolis and VFW #532 Women's Auxiliary, Columbus, Ohio. She married Harland Donald Taylor September 10, 1952 in Gallipolis, Ohio and he preceded her in death November 17, 2012.

To this union were born two sons and three daughters: Donald Taylor, Gallipolis, Ohio; Keith (Barbara) Taylor, Arcadia, Florida; Debra Shaver, Rhonda (Stanley) Conn and Charlotte White, all of Gallipolis, Ohio; twelve grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers: Clifford Rhodes, Gallipolis, Ohio and Bud (Faye) Rhodes, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; sisters: Evelyn Clark, Gallipolis, Ohio and Gertrude (Paul) King, Jacksonville, Florida and daughter-in-law, Dreama Taylor, Gallipolis, Ohio.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brother Ralph Rhodes and sisters, Betty Tope and Lilian Rose.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio. Burial will follow in St. Nicks Cemetery near Gallipolis. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday 6:00-8:00 PM.
