Mary L. Smith

Mary L. Smith, 77, Porter Community, passed away in Holzer Senior Care, Bidwell, Saturday, August 25, 2007. She was born June 9, 1930 in Harrisburg, daughter of the late John Roy Smith and Lola J. McDaniel Smith. Mary attended the New Hope Baptist Church, Harrisburg, and the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Bidwell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Allen Smith on April 15, 1984. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and John Robert Smith.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandy (Marc) Smith-Ellcessor, Williamsport, Ohio and Cindy (Fredrick Carter) Smith-Sanders, Kimper, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Stacia Sanders, Louisville, Kentucky and Barry Sanders Jr., Morehead, Kentucky; a sister, Marjorie Payne, Bidwell and many nieces and nephews.
The family is honoring her request for a Graveside service to be held at the convenience of the family in the Vinton Memorial Park with her nephew, Rev. John Thomas Smith officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton.
