Matilda A. "Tillie" (Hill) Northup

Matilda A. "Tillie" Northup, 59, Vinton, passed away in her home on Friday, November 14, 2008 surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was a homemaker and a loving mother who was born May 4, 1949 in Gallia County, daughter of the late Charles Hill and Virgie Casey Hill.
She married James Lowell Northup in 1966 in Gallia County, and he survives with three sons and three daughters: James Lee "Jim" Northup, Patriot; Tony Northup, Oak Hill; Terry (Stacy) Northup, Gallipolis; Patricia (Don) Parcel, Beavercreek; Tammy Gilbert, Thurman and Sherri Northup, Gallipolis; thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and brother, Roger (Mary) Hill, Grove City.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, Lloyd and Clyde Hill and Frances Hill.
Anyone who knew her loved her because she was a beautiful person. Even though our hearts are broken, we know she is born again in Heaven looking Jesus face to face.
Services will be noon Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton with the Rev. Heath Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, November 17, 2008.
