Mayland "Dean" Isaac, 65, Patriot, Ohio passed away Wednesday August 19, 2009 at Riverside Methodist in Columbus, Ohio. Dean was born on July 30, 1944 in Knox County, Kentucky, son of Cora Johnson Isaac of Howard, Pennsylvania and the late Mayland Isaac. He was a retired employee of Robbins and Myers of Springfield, Ohio and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.
Dean is survived by four brothers: Elige Isaac, Ypsilanti, Michigan; Robert Lee (Patty) Isaac, Erie, Pennsylvania; Eppie (Trudy) Isaac, Ypsilanti, Michigan and Lonzo (Pat) Isaac, Montrose, Pennsylvania; four sisters, Verdie (Fred) Rider, Pomeroy, Ohio; Carol Sue (Rich) Fitzgerald, State College, Pennsylvania; Junnie (Craig) Heverly, Howard, Pennsylvania and Julia (Gary) Boone, Mill Hall, Pennsylvania; a special nephew, Donald (Rethel) Isaac, Vinton and a special niece, Lisa (Steve) Coleman, Mechanicsburg, Ohio and sister-in-law, Jean Isaac, Vinton.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother, Vernon Isaac and sister Lola Isaac.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday August 22, 2009 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Elder Hank Forgey officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday 6:00-8:00 PM.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Donnie (Rethel) Isaac and Lisa (Steve) Coleman for all of the love and care extended to Dean.
