Melinda (Taylor) Davis

Melinda Davis, 63, Vinton, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. She was born November 26, 1961, to the late Vernon and Barbara Merritt Taylor. She married Ronald Davis of Vinton, July 14, 1979, at Ewington, Ohio and he survives. Melinda attended Ewington Church of Christ in Christian Union, Ewington, Ohio and was employed by Burlile Oil and Par Mar Oil as manager of Vinton Par Mar for more than 34 years.

Those left to cherish her memory including her husband, Ronald Davis, and their children, Brandi (Josh) Whealdon and Justin (Emily) Davis, both of Vinton, Ohio; grandchildren:  Ashton, Taylor, Kyleigh, Lane, Bristol, Cyrus, Jase and Carly; brothers, John (Rita) Taylor, Gallipolis, Ohio, Ralph (Jodi) Taylor, Vinton, Ohio, Donald Taylor, Lucas, Ohio, Robert (Melinda) Taylor, Bellville, Texas and Tim (Barb) Taylor, Radnor, Ohio; sister, Candy Sickles, Jackson, Ohio and father-in-law, James Davis, Gallipolis, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, Melinda was preceded in death by brother, David Taylor, sister, Mary Davis and sister-in-law, Robin Taylor.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M., Monday, August 25, 2025, at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel with Pastor David Greer officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 A.M. till the time of service. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Cemetery, Vinton, Ohio.

Melinda was an avid River Valley Raider and would like you to consider wearing apparel with the River Valley Raiders in her memory.
