Michael Richard Hopkins

Michael Richard Hopkins, 56, Patriot, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in his residence. He was born April 2, 1961 at Point Pleasant, West Virginia, son of the late Frank C. and Martha M. (Hockenberry) Hopkins. He served in many capacities in the Safety Industry field including Auxiliary Police Officer at Kenton, Ohio; Special Deputy at Gallia County Sheriff's Office, Gallipolis, Ohio; Firefighter and EMT at Marysville, Ohio and was a trained Scuba Diver Rescuer.
Michael leaves behind a son, Ryan Hopkins, Marysville, Ohio as well as his brothers and sister: Joel (Karen) Hopkins, Ashland, Kentucky; Terence (Glenna) Hopkins, Patriot, Ohio and Donna (Carl) Ross, Deering, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kyle Hopkins.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral services. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM January 12, 2018 in the Hopkins Family Cemetery, Patriot, Ohio.
