Michael "Mike" L. Little

Michael L. "Mike" Little, 73, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away peacefully at home Friday, January 17, 2025, following a lengthy illness surrounded by his loving family. Mike was born July 6, 1951, at Pomeroy, Ohio, son of the late Melvin and Catherine (Montgomery) Little. He retired from Southern Ohio Coal Mine #31 in 2017, where he held the position of foreman.

His love for practical jokes, making fruitcakes, car shows, and car detailing dimmed in comparison to his love for his family. Mike married Kathy (Smoak) Little November 26, 1988, in South Carolina, and together they raised their children: Angela (Brian) Pearce, Autumn (Anthony) Rose and Jason (Angie) Little, who will all miss him terribly. He will be remembered by his sixteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren (arriving soon), brother, Wade (Billie Jo) Little and sister, Marilyn (favorite brother-in-law, Clifford "Bill") Ward as well as a host of family members and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mike's hospice nurse, Kim Holcomb, for her loving care of Mike while he was in need.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Kelly Fraley and brother, Larry Little.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 22, 2025, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cheshire, Ohio. Family and Friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday, 11:00 AM to the 1:00 PM service time.
