Michael Eric Pope

Michael Eric Pope, 67, of Vinton, Ohio went home to be with the Lord Thursday, August 20, 2026. He was born August 26, 1958, son of the late Lonie Edgar Pope and Marguerite Frances (Spencer) Pope. A United States Army Veteran, he was an avid woodworker and carpenter by trade and had the ability to build anything. He was a video gamer and enjoyed fishing.

Mike is survived by his wife, Laurie Renee (Rhyan) Pope and two sons, Dennis and Lonie Pope, one grandson, brothers, Derwood (Lois) Pope and Pat Pope, sisters, Bobby Ogawa, Jeanette Campbell, Lorrie Nolan and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by brothers, George, Gary and Jeff Pope and sisters, Joann Haskins, Kimberly Holler and Lisa Nolan.

In accordance with his wishes there will be no services. Cremation services are under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel.
