Mildred Christine Saunders Green, 88, Cheshire, Ohio passed away at her residence Friday, October 1, 2004. She was born March 28, 1916 at Lecta, Ohio, daughter of the late John E. Saunders and Effie Cremeans Saunders. Mrs. Green was a member of the Okey Church, Lecta, Ohio
She married Virgil Stanley Green October 28, 1933 at Gallipolis, and he survives with a daughter and son-in-law: Ruth Ann and William Curfman Jr., Cheshire, Ohio and a son and daughter-in-law: Richard and Brittina Green, Bidwell, Ohio; six grandchildren: Danny (Terri) Green, Gallipolis, Ohio; Sherman (Susan) Green, Gallipolis, Ohio; Amy (Barry) Plymale, Gallipolis, Ohio; Allen Green, Bidwell, Ohio; Scott (Angie) Curfman, Gallipolis, Ohio; Christy (Craig) Richards, Gallipolis, Ohio; eleven great-grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters: Charles (Helen) Saunders, Morgan, Texas; Ray (Doris) Saunders, Lecta, Ohio; Hazel White, Scottown, Ohio; Irene (Willard) Robersion, Largo, Florida and Betty Jean Gilmore, Kitts Hill, Ohio.
Preceding her in death was a son, Raymond Green, January 1, 1993; a grandson, Adam Green; and three brothers: Edward, Omar and Vernard Saunders and infant brother, Carl Saunders.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, with Rev. David Saunders and Rev. Steve Little officiating. Burial will be in the Olive Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday 6:00-9:00 PM.
