Milton R. "Mick" Massie

Milton R. "Mick" Massie, 47, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Friday May 22, 2009 in the Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. He was born July 18, 1961 in Gallipolis, son of Betty Myers Massie, Gallipolis, and the late Milton Ray Massie. He was a former machine operator at Bellisio Foods, Jackson and an avid farmer for many years.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son and daughter: Mickey Massie, Crown City and Chloe (Kevin) McKenzie, Oak Hill; four brothers and two sisters: Melvin (Teresa) Massie, Thurman; Jimmy Massie, Donald Massie, Michael Massie, Hazel (Fred) Gardner and Barbara (Charlie) Curnutte, all of Gallipolis; former wife and mother of his children, Dianne Massie, Wilgis, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by sister, Carolyn Valentine.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery near Vinton. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Tuesday 4:00-7:00 PM.
