Minnie "Penny" F. Bingham, 88, of Melbourne, Florida passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024, in Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne, Florida. Penny was born August 5, 1936, in Montgomery, West Virginia, daughter of the late Boyd and Luella (Browning) Workman.
Before marriage, Penny worked at the Gallipolis Tribune newspaper as a typesetter, and then at Bell Telephone as a switchboard operator. After she married, Penny devoted her life to caring for her family and others. She lived in Ohio, Michigan, Florida and Texas and continued to touch many lives in those years. She made friends easily everywhere she went and maintained those relationships with friends she thought of as family. She valued each whether they were family, grade school classmates, friends, in-laws or ex-in-laws and held on to them tenaciously to the last.
Penny is survived by a son, Timothy (Jayne) Hill, Chicago, Illinois and grandsons, Benjamin (Melissa Mears) Hill, London, England and Matthew Hill, Chicago, Illinois.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands Larry F. Hill and John E. Bingham; her partner of twenty-five years, Charles "Chuck" Baldwin; sons Larry F. Hill II and Larry Joseph Hill; siblings: Cecil Workman, Carl Workman, Glenora Myers, Louise Mynster and Alfred Workman.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, December 16, 2024, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park, Vinton, Ohio. Family and Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday, 10:00-11:00 AM.
