Miranda Sue Pearce

Miranda Sue Pearce, 22, Bidwell, passed away in Holzer Medical Center at Gallipolis, as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident Thursday, April 3, 2003.

She was born November 8, 1980 in Athens, daughter of David Pearce and Bernetta Knox Pearce of Bidwell. She was a 1999 River Valley High School Graduate, where she was active in the Beta Club and the National Honor Society. She was listed in Who's Who Among American High School Students. In addition, she was a recipient of the Presidential Academic Fitness Award.

Miranda received an Associate degree in Accounting from the University of Rio Grande in 1999, and would have earned a B.S. Degree in Accounting and a B.S. Degree in Business Management, Class of 2004. While at the University of Rio Grande, she was a member of the Honor Society, Alpha Lambda Delta, and the Accounting Associations Investment club.

In addition to her parents, Miranda is survived by three brothers, Brian (Angie)Pearce, Pomeroy; Donald (Rhoda) Pearce, Bidwell and Charles Pearce, Bidwell; a sister, Missy Pearce, Bidwell; her fiancé, Ryan Young of Rio Grande; and her maternal grandmother, Evelyn Knox of Vinton.

She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Logan and Jordan Pearce, and Haleigh and Rebecca Pearce; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Don Pearce and her maternal grandfather, Kenneth Knox.

Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, April 6, 2003 in the Vinton Baptist Church, with Pastor Marvin Sallee and Pastor Chester Hess officiating. Interment will be in the Vinton Memorial Park. Visitation was held at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home in Vinton from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM Saturday, April 5, 2003.
