Murlyn D. "Bud" Hampton

Murlyn D. "Bud" Hampton, 73, Langsville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Holzer Hospital in Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born July 16, 1937 in Meigs County, Ohio, son of Erma Janice Cleland Hampton of Langsville and the late Clyde Hampton.
In addition to his mother, Erma Janice, he is survived by his twin sister, Marilyn (Mike) Mercer, Wellston, Ohio; a brother, Richard (Jeannie) Hampton, Bidwell, Ohio; and several nephews, niece, aunts, and uncles.
In addition to his father, Murlyn was preceded in death by a niece, Ronda Jean Peoples. Murlyn attended the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Danville, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 20, 2010 in the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Danville with Pastor Brian Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Center Cemetery. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, Thursday, August 19, 6:00-8:00 PM.
