Myrtle Stiltner McCoy, 91, of Vinton, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 6, 2025, after an extended illness. She was born March 13, 1933, daughter of the late Basil Stiltner and Virgie Cantrell.
She married the love of her life, Earnie McCoy, on July 18, 1948. Myrtle was a homemaker and took care of everyone she knew. She was also an active member of the Bethel Church of Christ, Hamden, Ohio.
In life, Myrtle was a beautiful soul who loved everyone. Her goal in life was to live like Jesus and she did so by lovingly taking care of others and sharing God's word with all. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandma, sister and friend to all who knew her.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children: Lauchey (Pauline) McCoy, Lawson (Carolyn) McCoy, Loretta Keeton and Loraine (Ken) Kiser; grandchildren: D.R. (Elizabeth) Keeton, Amos McCoy, Angela (Jason) Lim, Amy (Sean) Sigman, Josh McCoy, Garrett (Michelle) Kiser and Brooke (Jason) Kimes; sixteen great-grandkids as well as several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earnie McCoy, six brothers, five sisters, son-in-law, Donald Keeton and great-grandson, J.J. McCoy.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, January 10, 2025, in the Vinton Baptist Church, SR 160 Vinton, Ohio with Evangelist Patrick Gampp officiate. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park Cemetery, Vinton, Ohio. Family and friends may call at the church Friday 11:00 AM-1:00 PM service time. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, is honored to serve the McCoy Family.
