Myrtle Mae (Moss) Lance

Myrtle Mae Lance, 89, a former resident of Gallia County, passed away at the Odyssey Harbor House, Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday, March 23, 2007. She was born July 8, 1917 in Ivydale, West Virginia, daughter of the late John Steven Moss and Amanda Coen Moss. She married Herbie Lance on November 20, 1939 and he preceded her in death on March 19, 1992. Also preceding her is a brother Glenn Moss.
Surviving are three sons and a daughter: Gary (Loretta) Lance, Akron, Ohio; Ray Lance, Las Vegas, Nevada; John (Beverly) Lance, Jackson, Ohio and Mary Young, Grove City, Ohio; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a brother, George Moss, Boston, Massachusetts; two sisters, Katie McClain and Donna Koulter of New Philadelphia, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton with Rev. Robert Hersman officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call on Thursday, 6:00-8:00 PM.
