Nancy Yvonne Smith

Nancy Yvonne Smith, 79, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Saturday, October 24, 2026, in Holzer Senior Care Center, Bidwell, following a brief illness. Nancy was born in Gallipolis to the late James Earl and Helen (Ross) Adams on August 9, 1947.

Her life’s mission was helping others through her membership at Grace Methodist Church, Gallipolis, and founding the Snack Pack Program for children. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Nancy leaves those to cherish her memory her children, Wendy (Robert) Ashford of Margate, Florida and Ryan (Vicki) Smith of Bidwell as well as her grandchildren: Grant Smith, Ethan Ashford, Blake (Paige) Smith, Bella Ashford, Kennedy Smith, Mackenzie Bradbury and Camryn Smith.

Also missing Nancy are her siblings, Karen (Leroy) Wonn, Mike (Susie) Adams and Jo Karr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Bryce Lynn Smith and daughter, Meredith Smith Bradbury.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 29, 2026, in the Grace Methodist Church, Gallipolis. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, who is honored to serve the Smith Family.
