Naomi Ruth (Garber) Cook

Naomi Ruth Cook, 80, Rio Grande, Ohio passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio. She was born in Heaters, West Virginia December 30, 1941 to the late Jessie Worrick and Bessie Mae Starkey Garber. Naomi was retired from the Gallipolis City Schools following twenty years of teaching at Rio Grande Elementary and other Gallia County Local Schools.

Naomi is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Harold) Hutchison; grandchildren, Lori, Brian and Carlous Hutchison; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Jasmine Justice, Brittney and Anna Kelley, Zachary Hutchison, Maddison Vetter and Nathaniel Hutchison; brothers, Dayton Garber, Denver (Ginny) Garber and Don (Cynthia) Garber; sister-in-law, Marlene Garber and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by brother, Dallas Garber and sister-in-law, Virginia "Gini" Garber.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, Ohio.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Rio Grande, Ohio. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
